Man About Town

Charging Forward for Women’s Health

Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley, Inc. kicked off its annual fundraising campaign, Man About Town. This year’s campaign benefits women’s health programs, including physical, mental and financial health such as the mammogram program.

The three candidates, Rob Robbins, Mike Kostiuk and Craig Brewster, will campaign for votes in the form of dollars. Every dollar equals one vote, and the man with the most votes/dollars at the end of the campaign is crowned the winner on May 17.

Each of the candidates holds fundraising events during the campaign period, and seeks votes/dollars in every way they can, calling on friends, colleagues and family to support the cause.

Events include:

•Team Rob: Tournament of Champions, April 12 and A Knight’s Festival of Wine Whiskey and Chocolate May 2

• Team Craig: Village Faire at Nottinghams April 17 and Grand Banquet Wine Tasting and Celebration May 9

• Team Mike: Cheers to the Charge a Night at Murray’s April 24, and Making Progress, a Progressive Dinner in the Village May 6.
